The Backstory
Back in April 2020, 5 colleagues founded Cart 2 Curb in response to the quickly unfolding pandemic. They saw how home delivery services boomed even before the pandemic, but saw that there was a gap when it came to local. Especially once the pandemic began, many local small and medium businesses would benefit from home delivery, but simply couldn’t afford to make a system online themselves or pay a large Uber Eats-esque delivery platform. So, Card 2 Curb was born! For now, they help alleviate the gap in local delivery throughout the Waterloo region, and help businesses deliver their perishable, sensitive goods to their customers all across Southwestern Ontario. They’re committed to using as many electric and hybrid vehicles as possible in order to limit transport costs and CO2 emissions. Some might say they’re a local and eco hero!
How will you spend $5,000?
When asked how they would spend the money, the Cart 2 Curb team has digital and physical plans that will help them better serve their customers. They plan to:
• Create more advertising content and invest in ad space online
• Create more print advertising to hand out to potential clients
• Reward their growing driver network for a job well done
• Invest in running contests on social media to promote brand awareness
