GetintheLoop was founded the summer of 2011 on the premise that golf courses needed to fill tee times, instantly. Due to cancellations, bad weather or seasonal fluctuations, golf courses had unused time slots that we could help fill through targeted text message deals to local golfers. With a $500 budget, our founder Matt Crowell created a simple website, attracted eight golf courses in the Okanagan, started sending text message offers to locals and quickly realized success golf courses were seeing with the redeemed offers.
Mid 2013, we released the first version of our mobile app and expanded our service to restaurants, spas, wineries, retail stores, sporting organizations and businesses that have a need to sell excess inventory. A year later, we made our first market expansion and, based on learning in the Okanagan, recognized a need to quickly grow an audience while also attracting businesses to promote offers to this audience.
Now members enjoy exclusive deals all over Western Canada. We’re in 9 cities and growing. Matt’s on the road spreading the word about GetintheLoop and working with amazing partners like Bell Media, Glacier Media and the WHL.
